Q & A

Who is getting married?

Auburn and John are getting married. Yay!

When and where are Auburn and John getting married?

We are getting married on October 10, 2026 at a location called Camp Hale, which is in Red Cliff, CO and located about halfway between Vail, CO and Leadville, CO. Please visit the LOCATION & ACCOMMODATIONS link for info on the wedding location and where to stay.

How long is it to drive from I-70 locations to Camp Hale?

Camp Hale is approximately 30 minutes from Minturn, approximately 40 minutes from Vail or Beaver Creek, and approximately 45 minutes from Copper Mountain. It is approximately 2 1/2 hours from Denver. All of the above can vary based on I-70 traffic.

How do I find the wedding venue?

The wedding location is published under the Location & Accommodations link on this website. You can reference that, and you can use a mapping app on your phone and input "Camp Hale Weddings." That will give you the directions to where you need to go.

What airport should I fly into?

If you are outside the state of Colorado and don't plan to drive here, we recommend flying from wherever you are to Denver International Airport. You can also fly directly into Eagle Airport, if available, or fly to Denver and then fly to Eagle, if available.

Is there parking at the wedding location?

There is plenty of parking at Camp Hale. Please don't drink if you plan to drive. We plan to provide transportation to / from certain locations along Vail Valley and we hope you can take advantage of it.

Will transportation be provided?

We plan to offer transportation to and from select locations in the Vail Valley. More details will be shared as the date gets closer. If you plan to drive, there is ample parking at Camp Hale.

How do I prepare for the high altitude and fall weather?

October in the mountains can be warm and sunny during the day and cold in the evening, so please bring layers. Because of the terrain, a change of shoes may also be helpful. Camp Hale is at high elevation, and alcohol can feel stronger here, so hydration is key!
